SMS Media Subscription service:

By Opting-in to this service, you agreed to be bound by the Terms & Conditions contained herein.

The SMS Media Subscription is a Short Messaging System ("SMS") service provided to mobile users who want to subscribe to the SMS Media Subscription service.(hereinafter referred to as the "Service").

The Service is open to all active SMS Media customers subscribed to prepaid services of MTN, UTL, ORANGE, WARID AND ZAIN mobile phone operators providing Short Messaging System ("SMS") services (hereinafter referred to as the "User").

To use the Service, the User must key in the relevant keyword e.g. SUB NEWS and send to 8198 for ORANGE, WARID and ZAIN, 0800208198 for MTN  and 0800108198 for UTL.

The codes for the Service will be displayed and promoted via SMS Media website at www.smsmedia.ug and and any other media as it sees fit.
SMS Media reserves the right to reject any request at its sole and absolute discretion without having to assign any reasons whatsoever.
All requests must be made in English, Luganda and/or Swahili depending on the keyword in question.

Proof of Receipt

Proof of SMS sent by a User does not denote proof that the SMS was received by SMS Media.
Opting- Out

To opt-out Type STOP and send to the short code 8198.

Charges

Ushs 220 for every SMS sent to start the contest or submit an answer.

Use of Mobile Numbers

SMS Media and/or its affiliates reserve the right to send SMS messages to the Users mobile phone numbers containing information and promotional activities.

Miscellaneous

SMS Media reserves the right to change, amend, delete or add to these Reminders Terms and Conditions without prior notice at any time and the Users shall be bound to such changes.

Adherence to Reminders Terms & Conditions

All User's shall be required to adhere to the Terms and Conditions herein and changes thereto.
Liabilities

SMS Media will not be responsible or liable for:

Any problem, loss or damage of whatsoever nature suffered by any party due to:

• Any delay and/or failure in receiving and sending a SMS as a result of any network, communication or system error, interruption;

• Failure experienced by the participating mobile phone operators or by SMS Media; and

• Resulting from participation or the downloading of any materials in the Reminders. In the event of such error, interruption and/or failure, SMS Media shall not be responsible or liable for any failure by any User to participate in the Reminders at any time.

Any problem, damage or loss of whatsoever nature to any User , or their authorised representatives resulting from their participation in the User.
Any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft, destruction, alteration of, or unauthorized access to entries, or entries lost or delayed whether or not arising during operation or transmission as a result of server functions, virus, bugs or other causes outside its control. SMS Media, its agencies, affiliates, sponsors and representatives are not responsible for defective prizes or misuse of any prize, or for any claims, liability, loss or damage arising out of or in connection with the contest or any contest promoted by SMS Media.

Rejection

SMS Media reserves the right at its sole discretion to reject any individual that it determines to be tampering with the subscription process or the operation of the Service, to be acting in breach or potential breach of these Terms and Conditions. No correspondence shall be entertained.

Suspension

SMS Media further reserves the right to cancel, modify, suspend or delay the Service in the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
